PRAYER JOURNALING

Keeping a Prayer Journal:

Why Keep a Journal

To Strengthen your faith and improve your relationship with the Lord.

Through a Journal you can monitor your own progress in your relationship with God.

It can help you discern God's hand in your life, and better understand His will for You.

How Do I Start a Journal

A Journal can be nothing more than a bound notebook, or it could be preprinted with dates, devotionals, or scripture. Whatever it is, it should be constructed to endure daily use.

What Do I Put In the Journal

The journal is a place to write private thoughts to yourself, you are both the author and the intended audience.
As you read the Bible, copy a verse or verses that stand out to you.
Write a short statement about what this means to you, at this time.
Write a short statement of how this truth could be applied to your life, and what change you need to make.
In the Evening, or the next day, reflect on the preceding day, note how God was evident the day.
Make a note about how successful, or what problems you had applying the scripture to your life.
